Will MW3 Be This Years Winner?

While some people may pause at the thought of this articles title and presume it's a rhetorical question, it is asked with a (this is my serious face) serious tone.
Sales wise Infinity ward knows how to rake in the cash. Modern Warfare 1 and 2 are some of the highest grossing games in games history. Modern Warfare 2 sold approximately 4.7 million units in both the United States and the UK in the first 24 hours of its release.
So does money buy you happiness? Well YES of course it does but does making the most cash make you the winner?Maybe not so much.
Without a doubt, MW3's main competitior this year is BF3. Will BF3 out sell MW3 this year? At a guess I'd say no. Will BF3 be the better game? While I'd like to think (and secretly hope so) we cant say for sure, untill the metaphorical cards are on the table.

So what do we know about MW3 so far? The first thing we get from the reveal trailer is, there will be multiple settings around the globe. Am3rica, 3ngland, Franc3 and G3rmany. Not to be confused with those countries with other names, America, England, France and Germany. Also in the reveal trailer, the end of the video suggests, or should I say out right suggests that the setting is a world war 3, present day scenario.
Now obviouly in the eyes of Infinity ward, Russia seems to have never got over the cold war business and so once again take on the role of chief bad guys.
The retail poster of MW3, also seen in this article, points out that Soap and Price are wanted big time, this is shown in the style of TIME magazine with a destroyed back drop of NYC.

Infinity ward have always had my admiration for there story telling, it's delivered in a dramatic, cinematic style, that not many other games seem to pull off and instantly I am captivated by the set peices and cool objectives. The most noteworthy one being, the sniper in a ghille suit, sneaking through the wasteland of chenobyl, to take out a target, miles away in a delapadated building.
Good things are to be expected from MW3 but have they got what it takes, to turn the slightly tired and used multiplayer in to a nation gripping experience? E3, will no doubt reveal all.
On a final note Infinty ward are running with an Elite Subscription fee. This service allows players to get an in depth analysis of there game statistics and additional info about the games being played.
