Battlefield 3 GAME OF THE YEAR PLEASE!

ZOMG and that is putting it lightly.

Initially, the teaser trailers of Battlefield 3, got our mouths salivating uncontrollably, here at the games wiki. So when E3 came, we had high hopes for what DICE had in store for us and they sure as hell delivered.
A first look at the multiplayer footage, Operation Metro, shows chaotic urban warfare in the heart of Frances capital Paris and just to clarify that is not FRANC3 (a lame joke I know)
Frostbite 2, quite frankly should be the envy of  game engines right now. No doubt fans have seen the game play trailers so far and are just counting down the days until that beta arrives.
So what do we know so far about Battlefield 3 Check out the compact list.

• The Release date is Confirmed for the 25th of October
• People that Pre Order the game get the back to Karkand Map Pack - featuring remastered maps from Battlefield 2
• People buying the Physical Warfare, Limited edition of BC3 will get - The Type 88 Machine Gun, DAO-12 shotgun, Flechette ammo for the DAO-12 shotgun and SKS sniper rifle flash suppressor
• It will feature some form of coop mode
• Weapons will be highly customizable in comparison to BC2
• Players can check out in depth stats online
• Multiplayer will feature interior environments as well as exterior (as seen in Op Metro)
• Prone is making a return to the game and will be on consoles as well as PC
• Jets will also feature across all platforms.

At the very least we really must applaud DICE. Where would the FPS genre be with out them. Massive environments with chaotic destruction Thank you very much.

One concern a few people have is the availability of the DLC. That having access to weapons and maps before anyone else puts others at a disadvantage. However EA and DICE have confirmed that the weapons in the limited addition version of the game will not give the player any advantages over those that do have them.

Anyway if you really feel at a disadvantage BUY THE LIMITED EDITION VERSION!

In preparation for Battlefield 3 we Are holding a Competition for Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the Xbox. 

Date: 23rd - 24th June 2011

Time: 2pm GMT. 

Mission objective: The winner of this competition will be the person that collects the most dog tags from either OMG MEGA L0LZ or/and OMG UBERL0LZ

Prize: Well for now its the bragging rights but this may change to something better

Results will be announced on the 25th of June. 4 Months before the release of Battlefield 3
